Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been over here much lately. That's because I made the decision a few weeks ago to stop writing on here and concentrate more on my other blog. I have been putting of and putting off... but shortly after returning from our holiday, I made up my mind.
I think I jumped in to this blog head first and went about it all completely wrong. Instead of building it up slowly, I took on product reviews, sponsored posts and competitions. Now don't get me wrong, I love nothing more than a good competition but I think I took on a lot of followers via that method and its only now that I regret it. I wish I built up followers the right way, followers who genuinely wanted to follow, not because they wanted to win what I was giving away.
I have been writing a second blog for a few months now, I don't have many followers and I don't get all that many pageviews but I enjoy writing on it a hell of a lot more than I ever have done this. It might not be your cup of tea - its mainly about my journey through gardening.. well, not gardening exactly. More of my journey to becoming a little more self sufficient. I am growing lots of fruit and veg for the first time and I want to share and document that journey. As I'll no longer be writing here, some of my mummyhood posts will be incorporated over there. It is a big...a HUGE part of my life so of course I want to continue to write about it. This time it will be a little different.
My posts will all be shared over my social media pages, so be sure to follow me there if you wish to read them.
My competition to win the 'LOVE' sign is still running and has about 10 days remaining. That will continue to run and I will announce the winner on here and will share on Twitter - of course the winner will receive an email, but if your curious as to who won, please check back.
Not all is bad, I have learnt so much writing on MrsHippo&Me and I
have met some amazing people which are now very close to my heart.
I just want to say a massive thank you to Hayley from Sparkles and Stretchmarks for pushing me on to the blogging bandwagon, I would never be where I am without her and even though I'm giving this blog up, hopefully I'll be moving forward and up on the next.
I also want to thank a big group of girls .... far too many to name individually, but I'm sure they know who they are! But thank you all for supporting me and helping me build up MrsHippo.
And of course, thank you to everyone who has taken the time out to comment and read my blog. It really has meant a lot to me.
Then finally, if you want to follow me through my newest journey please visit my new blog - The Strawberry Planter and/or follow me on Bloglovin
